The dress code for the evening is Black-Tie Optional. We ask that men wear a tuxedo or dark-colored suit and tie. For women, floor-length evening gowns are encouraged but a mid-length dress is also appropriate.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony will take place in a church -- which will be air conditioned if needed. Cocktail hour and our reception will be on an open-air rooftop. There are tents available in case of weather, but please prepare for October weather.
What is DC weather like in October?
October is historically a great time to visit the city! The high is usually around 75 degrees, where the low is roughly 60 degrees. Be sure to check the weather before you pack because heat/cold fronts happen from time to time!
When is the RSVP deadline?
We ask that all RSVPs are in by August 21st.
Are children invited?
Due to the intimacy of the venue, we are unable accommodate children. We hope parents will enjoy their well-earned night off!
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 pm. We ask that all guests are seated by 2:40 pm to ensure the event runs on time!
How do I get to and from the wedding venue?
Holy Rosary Catholic Church is four blocks from the Hyatt hotel. We urge our guests to walk or take an Uber/taxi (three minute ride). Following the ceremony, guests will be led to our reception venue -- which is right next to the hotel. We have allotted time for guests to take their time to arrive at the venue before festivities begin. If you prefer, Uber and taxis can quickly take you to The Capitol View at 400 -- which is a three minute ride from the church.
What should I do if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?
We are happy to accommodate! Please indicate any allergy or restriction when you RSVP.
